Nestled in the heart of Aldie in Loudoun County VA, Tail Race Farm Camps boast a picturesque setting where small camper-to-counselor ratios guarantee individualized attention. Our team, comprised of a professional trainer and CPR-certified counselors, ensures a safe and enriching experience. Welcoming campers of all levels, we provide a supportive environment for horse-related activities, from riding and grooming to fostering connections with horses and fellow campers.

July 14th-18th Tail Race Farm Horseback Riding Summer Camp

Campers at Tail Race Farm will get one riding lesson per day and will also learn other aspects of horse and pony care such as feeding, tacking up, and grooming.Ages 6-13

Details:

Camp week Monday- Friday (rain or shine). Hours 9am -2pm.

Includes Horsemanship, horseback riding, crafts, games and pool.

Dress comfortably for riding, closed toe shoes.

Please bring a snack and lunch, water, bathing suit/towel.
For the safety and comfort of our riders and horses, we have the following requirements in place:

Weight Limit: Riders must weigh 180 lbs or less to participate in mounted activities.

Fitness Requirements: Riders should have the strength and mobility to mount the horse with assistance, including the ability to lift their leg over the saddle while mounting and dismounting using a mounting block.

If a rider does not meet these requirements, we offer a range of groundwork and horse care activities to ensure everyone can enjoy meaningful experiences with our horses.
